About Us

Our story began in 1953 when Gene Burke and Orrie Tubbs first opened Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home at the 400 Block West Stephenson in Freeport. Gene and Orrie had been professional acquaintances both working at local area funeral homes; before joining into a partnership and opening Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.
